In the era when the focal question of human space exploration had shifted from “how to get there” to “how to stay there”, one settlement on Mars, located at the rim of Victoria Crater, had matured to the level where it became capable of accommodating tourists and activities beyond exploration and research. The construction of the structures is governed by site-specific environmental conditions, thus establishing the style of Martian vernacular architecture.

With the celestial observatory and cemetery implemented in the early phase of the development as the spiritual heart of the village, would the villagers pray to the bright blue star shining near the horizon?

This is a record of a village survey at the Victoria Crater—its people, architecture, and history.
